Chieftains and stalwarts of the Labour Party will today converge on Ibadan to rally support for its gubernatorial candidate in Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala, among other national and state House of Assembly candidates in the forthcoming elections.

The event, which will hold at Mapo hill, will provide opportunity for the candidates to present their manifestoes to the people.

Speaking with the Nigerian Tribune, Alao-Akala expressed readiness at the opportunity to reel out his manifesto and canvass for votes for all candidates of the party across board.

“I expect people to turn out en masse to listen to what we have for them and how they should manage their votes in the coming election. In particular, I will present my manifesto to them. In the governorship race, I am optimistic of victory in the election.”

On security, he hinted that security operatives had been well informed.

Expected at the event are LP National Chairman, Abdulkadir Salam; National Secretary, Olukayode Ajulo; state Party Chairman, Gbenga Olayemi; running mate of Alao-Akala, Sarafadeen Alli, among other party executives and members.
