THE member representing Oye/Ikole federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr Bimbo Daramola, has faulted President Goodluck Jonathan on his pledge to implement the report of the national conference, saying “it is misleading and belated.”

Daramola, who is of the All Progressives Congress (APC) told newsmen, in Ado Ekiti, on Monday, that the president was wrong to have promised to implement the report of the conference, when in actual fact; it would be approved by the National Assembly.

Daramola, who is seeking re-election to the National Assembly, spoke after he took his campaign to the 40 communities in Ikole and Oye local government areas that make up the constituency.

According to him, the President got it wrong by declaring that he would implement the reports if elected in Saturday’s presidential poll.

The federal lawmaker, however, contended that the powers to implement the reports or otherwise, resided only in the National Assembly and not in the presidency.
