THE Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in Oyo State, Senator Teslim Folarin, has said he will work hand-in-hand with the Federal Government to upgrade the existing Ibadan Airport to a modern cargo facility airport.

Senator Folarin made this remark on Tuesday during a chat with some investors in his Oluyole residence.

Folarin said the economic drive of his government would be centred on agriculture and investment

He said “commercial agriculture opens up the economy of any nation for huge and diversified investment in all sectors.”

“It becomes mandatory to avail the basic infrastructural facilities to enable business to flow,” he added.

He further stated that the large scale agricultural production will facilitate creation of millions of jobs for the teeming population of the state who might be directly involved in the production of these agricultural products or indirectly by various channels of distribution and movement of the agricultural product.

Folarin further said another reason his government would pursue large scale agriculture was the lesson from the recent fall in oil prices.

He appealed to the people of the state to help make this dream come through by voting for the PDP which “manifestoes are centred on the good and development of the state and her people.”

He said voting in PDP would help to deliver these projects to the state.
