The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Abeokuta North/Odeda/Obafemi Owode Federal Constituency of Ogun State, Honourable Kayode Amusan, on Friday, alleged that his opponents had filed papers in a court in Lagos claiming that he was dead in order to facilitate his replacement. According to him, the alleged plot was to substitute his name at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office with that of a stooge ahead of the election. In a statement, Amusan said, “I can’t comprehend why some elements have refused to imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship and culture of discipline after the party has decided who should be its standard-bearer for the March 28 election. “I understand that the unscrupulous elements have approached the Federal Court in Lagos for an order claiming that I am dead in order to substitute my name in the INEC list of candidates with their stooge.” Source: TRIBUNE
