
Abductors of the Secretary to the Delta State Board of Internal Revenue, Mr. Isaac Itebu and his personal driver who were on Wednesday kidnapped in Ebrumede community, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State while leaving for work , have demanded a ransom of one hundred million Naira from their families.
A member of the Itebu family who spoke to Vanguard, said that the gunmen contacted the Itebu family and the family of his driver demanding for the money as a condition for their release.
When Saturday Vanguard visited the Itebu residence, the family pastor and sympathizers were seen in the compound holding a prayer session to seek divine intervention for the release of the victims.
As at the time of filing this report, it was not confirmed if the family had negotiated with them.
When contacted the Delta State Police Public Relation Officer, Celestina Kalu confirmed the incident adding that the command was on top of the situation.
