Contrary to Father Ejike Mbaka’s prediction that President Goodluck Jonathan would not win his re-election because he was a “bad luck” to Nigeria, an Anglican cleric in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, Ambassador Ephraim Ononye, has urged the President to disregard Mbaka’s statement and remain focused as God had the final say.

This is coming as the Peoples Democratic Party in the state has vowed to elect President Jonathan and PDP’s Governorship candidate in the state, Engr. Dave Umahi in the forthcoming general elections despite the antics of the opposition parties to get power by all means.

The state acting Publicity Secretary, Benjamin Obaji noted that PDP still remained a party to beat in the state, as opposition parties were alien to the people in the state. Obaji alleged that despite covert defection of the state governor, Chief Martin Elechi to the Labour Party, the ruling PDP would do everything within the ambit of the law to ensure that its candidates in all the positions emerged victorious in the election.
