The candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria in Ekiti-Central senatorial district, Dr. Jide Aiyenibiowo, has expressed the confidence that he will win in the forthcoming general elections.

The lawyer, who decried the level of poverty and unemployment in the district, attributed the situation to the attitude of past lawmakers who had represented the district.

The senatorial candidate, in a statement on Wednesday, said his victory at the poll would lead to transformation in the senatorial district.

Aiyenibowo, who is a former National Secretary of the Magistrate Association of Nigeria, promised to use his experience and influence to create wealth, establish industries and revitalise cocoa plantation across the district.

He said, “Ekiti-Central has a lot of potential in the agriculture sector. There is so much poverty in the land and this must change come April. My campaign in the district is not empty promises but a statement of facts.”
