The campaign train of Sen. Teslim  Kolawole  Folarin of the People’s Democratic Party today witnessed unprecedented turn out of ardent supporters and well wishers  across Ibadan. This occurred during his campaign at Ibadan North East local government Area as part of preparation towards the forthcoming 2015 general elections. The popular Agodi Gate – Iwo Road was held to standstill as members of the Spare Parts Dealers Association at Gate and other groups in the environs held a solidarity walk to show their unflinching endorsement for the PDP gubernatorial candidate, Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin.

While addressing the mammoth crowd of traders, Folarin was full of appreciation for their genuine and supportive relationship of love over the time. He assured them that his government will never let them down; but rather be answerable to the people of Oyo state who will be the centre of his government. He commended their role in the State economy, particularly in automobile spare parts distribution which according to him is vital to all sphere of life. He did not hesitate to remind them of the available loans of N20 billion from President Goodluck Jonathan led government to support the small and medium scale businesses in the state. He urged them to take advantage of the loans to build and expand their business so that the economy would grow.

While enjoining them to be law abiding and peaceful in their conduct during the forthcoming polls, he advised  them to support the clarion call of the well meaning people of Oyo state by voting overwhelmingly for  President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and other  PDP candidates . He guaranteed them that a vote for PDP is a vote for moving forward and of course, the actualisation of Ibadan State, which to him is very paramount for our dear state. He said: “President Jonathan means well for us in Oyo state. It is very certain that in his second term, Ibadan State will not be an issue because it has been concluded at the confab.”

As part of his campaign tour, he visited the Aboke ‘Badan of Ibadanland, Chief Ifasola Ifamakowa in Beere community who prayed and assured him of their total support for his bid of becoming the next governor of Oyo State.  The community of Oronyon market was also visited, and Baale Jelili Abolupe, one of the community heads welcomed him and gave his blessings. Other communities visited are Elekuro, Orita Aperin, Aremo, Agugu, Oke Ofa, Araromi, Iwo road and the house of late Pa Adisa Akinloye, former National Chairman of the defunct  NPN at Oje. The campaign train finally stopped at Oja Igbo, the family house of Sen. Folarin where he visited the Baale and family members. PDP stalwarts in the campaign train include: Hon. Yinka Taiwo, Chairman PDP Oyo State, Director-General of Teslim Folarin Campaign Organisation, Hon. Asiwiu  Alarape and other notable members of the party.
