The gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State , Senator Teslim Folarin has described the present condition ofyouth  unemployment in the  state as unpalatable that must be urgently tamed. He made this remark at his Iyanganku residence during an interview with journalists on the state of Oyo. In his words, Folarin said that Oyo state youths had never had it so bad like they are now. “It is very
painful considering the fact that the state has huge allocation and abundant resources, yet the youth are not beneficiary of it.  This is very unfortunate and it calls for urgent attention.”

With the hope of stemming this tide of youths unemployment and insecurity, Folarin has assured the teaming youths of Oyo state that if voted into office, the solutions to their problems will be readily provided to safe
the situation. “Like I usually tell us, I am a link between the old and the young generations; hence I know where the shoe pinches.” He acknowledged the fact that the youth are the reservoir of skills and
talents which government must be ready to tap into. This is very important because they are the future of our dear state.

He asserted that given the opportunity to govern, sports will be promoted among the youths by giving it the deserved priority. This is very necessary as our youths are known to be lovers of sports and entertainment which will be used to create wealth. He also assured the youths of mass employment through his proposed skills and training centres to empower them to become entrepreneurs and CEOs of their own organizations. This he said could be in the area of agriculture where the resources are in abundance. To support and sustain this economic plan, Folarin intends to provide credit facilities for businesses to sustain the vibrant economy
that would have been generated.

He finally urged the youths to take advantage of the extended date of election to collect their PVC before the deadline so that they will not only be eligible to vote, but also to vote in the government that would
place them on high premium.
