Notorious bandit leader Kachalla Maha has claimed he possesses the capability to abduct high-ranking government officials, including state governors, while also alleging that he has access to sensitive security information.
Maha made the assertions in a recorded audio message that surfaced on Sunday and was shared by a verified X user, Abdool Moh.
In the audio, the bandit kingpin accused authorities of refusing to release his arrested associates and seized cattle, claiming the government's actions had compelled him to intensify attacks across affected communities.
According to him, repeated attempts to secure the release of his men were ignored, leaving him determined to continue his activities.
“You arrested my men, and I asked for their release. You refused. I promised that I would abduct many people, and I already have targets,” he said.
Maha further questioned the arrest of his associates, including one Aminu, insisting that no amount of military pressure would force him to back down.
“I asked why my men and Aminu were arrested. Since they were not released, I don’t care if they send thousands of soldiers. I am not tired, and I will not stop until I leave this world. I can kidnap top government officials, even a state governor,” he stated.
The bandit leader also claimed that some security operatives provide him with advance information about planned military operations.
“I swear to Almighty God that all the security forces sent to attack my camp are my boys. They inform me whenever they are coming. I receive information about security strategies, including those involving the President. It is only because I allow them to operate. Otherwise, they would not even be able to use the roads,” he alleged.
The claims have not been independently verified, and there has been no official response from security agencies at the time of filing this report.
