One of the parties in the country, Accord, on Friday, disclosed that the party had adopted the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan, as its candidate for February 14.

The party further disclosed that President Jonathan remained the best candidate for the Presidential elections and deserved to be supported by the party.

Addressing a press conference at the party’s national secretariat, National Secretary of the party, Mr Adisa Oladipo Nureni, noted that, “as you are aware, the news of this adoption was first circulated in the media last week following a well publicised meeting between the NWC of Accord and a sub-committee of PDP where issues of inter-party cooperation was discussed among the two parties as the general elections are fast approaching.”
