Governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Delta State, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru, has said that he is in total support of President Goodluck Jonathan’s return as president comes February 14, but added that he is not sure if the president is in support of his governorship ambition.

Ogboru made this remark on Thursday during a press conference held in his White House at Abraka, Delta State, to appreciate the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) for reportedly endorsing his candidature for the governorship on February 28.

When asked whether the rumour doing the round that his governorship ambition has the backing of the president, Ogboru said: “I support President Jonathan, but I’m not a member of his party and I don’t campaign for his party. I don’t know whether he supports me. I support him for good reasons and the reasons are strategic and they go beyond Jonathan.”
