Former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, on Tuesday appeared before the Kaduna State High Court following his release to attend his mother’s burial.

El-Rufai, who is facing charges bordering on fraud and money laundering, was earlier granted temporary release from the custody of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

It was gathered that after his appearance at the state high court, the former governor is expected to proceed to the Federal High Court in Kaduna for the continuation of his bail application.

The court had, on March 24, adjourned the bail hearing to March 31 after El-Rufai was formally arraigned on the charges.
