The campaign train of Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State, on Friday, moved to Iseyin with a big crowd welcoming him into the town where he inaugurated the newly-constructed NYSC orientation camp.

The governor performed the inauguration of the camp as part of his campaign tour of the Oke-Ogun zone of the state.

NYSC in the state has been operating its orientation camp from a temporary site for over 20 years.

While inaugurating the project, Governor Ajimobi rated his administration high in terms of provision of social and physical infrastructure for the state.

He said the orientation camp epitomised the quality of his administration, adding that the dualised Iseyin township road would also be inaugurated soon.

The governor, who described the permanent orientation camp as the best in the country, said his administration embarked on the project based on its developmental tripod of restoration, transformation and repositioning.

He also declared that the camp encapsulated the dreams of his administration to restore the lost glory of the state as a pace setter state.

In her response, the state coordinator of NYSC, Mrs Funmilayo Akin-Moses, commended the achievements of the governor, particularly in the education sector.

According to her, the governor’s efforts at completing the permanent orientation camp would remain indelible in the minds of the people of the state.
