A fuel tanker laden with petroleum motor spirit, popularly known as PMS has overturned at Tincan Liverpool Bridge, Apapa, Lagos.

In a video making rounds on Monday morning, many resident were scooping contents of the tanker from underneath the bridge.

Also, LASTMA on its official X (formerly Twitter) page, disclosed that the diesel is spreading on the bridge due to a damaged tank, and men of the Nigerian Police Force have been notified of the situation.

The statement reads, “There’s a fallen tanker loaded with diesel on top Liverpool bridge inward Mile2.

“The diesel is spreading on the bridge as a result of the damaged tank.

“Men of Nigerian Police Force from Area B and other safety Agencies have been swiftly notified.

The statement also said that traffic has been diverted to avoid safety of commuters and warned motorists to adhere to traffic regulations.
