The Commonwealth Scholars and Fellows Alumni Association of Nigeria (COSFAN) has extended its heartfelt condolences to Prince Cletus Ilobanafor, Managing Director of CEOAFRICA, over the passing of his father, Late Ogbuefi Clement Nwagbogu Ilobanafor (Esesuo Agbara).
In a moving tribute issued on December 2, 2025, the President of COSFAN, Dr. Ekundayo Samuel, described the late patriarch as “a legendary father and an inspiration whose life exemplified wisdom, kindness, and service to humanity.”
Dr. Samuel noted that Papa Ilobanafor lived a life that touched many and left a positive imprint on everyone who encountered him. “Your wisdom, kindness, and dedication to humanity will be deeply missed,” he said, emphasizing that the 93-year-old community leader’s legacy would continue through generations.
Reflecting on Prince Cletus Ilobanafor’s close bond with his father, the COSFAN President highlighted the profound impact the late Ogbuefi Clement had on his son. “Your amazing son, Prince Cletus Ilobanafor, who’s making waves and impacting lives, will carry your torch forward, making you proud,” he stated.
He acknowledged the emotional weight of the loss, stressing that the passing of the elder statesman had created a significant void. “He was more than just a friend’s father; he was a guiding light, a source of wisdom, and a true inspiration,” he said while expressing sympathy to Prince Cletus and the entire Ilobanafor family during this difficult period.
Dr. Samuel prayed that the family finds strength and comfort in the cherished memories of the patriarch, adding: “May he find eternal peace, and may his loved ones find comfort in the beautiful memories they created together.”
