The Dean of the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, University of Ibadan, Professor Oyeronke A. Odunola, has extended her heartfelt condolences to the Managing Director of CEOAFRICA, Prince Cletus Ilobanafor, over the passing of his father, Chief Ogbuefi Clement Nwagbogu Ilobanafor (Esesuo Agbara), who died at the age of 93.
In a condolence letter dated October 16, 2025, Prof. Odunola expressed profound sympathy to Prince Ilobanafor and the entire Ilobanafor family of Oze̱gu, Enugwu-Inyi, Oji River LGA of Enugu State.
In her letter, she wrote: “I wish to express our heartfelt condolences to you and the entire Ilobanafor family of Oze̱gu, Enugwu-Inyi, Oji River LGA, Enugu State, on the glorious home call of Ogbuefi Clement Nwagbogu Ilobanafor (Esesuo Agbara) at the age of 93 years.”
She added that although words may be insufficient to capture the depth of the loss, her prayers are with the family during this difficult period.
According to her: “While mere words cannot adequately express the deep sense of loss and our sympathy, we pray that God, who comforts in times like this, will uphold you, the other children, and the entire family. His fond memory of love, dedication, hard work and exceptionary leadership will continue to strengthen everyone.”
Prof. Odunola further stated that the entire University community joins in sharing the family’s grief, saying: “Once again, we commiserate with you and share your pain at this moment. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace (Amen).”
The late Ogbuefi Ilobanafor is remembered as a revered patriarch whose values continue to reflect in the lives of his children and the community he served.
