The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) rounded off its 98th Annual National Conference, tagged DABO 2025, with a glamorous dinner and closing banquet on November 7, 2025, in Kano State.

The colorful ceremony marked the end of a week-long convergence of pharmacists, industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders from across the nation. As is traditional with PSN conferences, the closing banquet served as a moment of relaxation, social bonding, and celebration after days of rigorous technical sessions.

Guests enjoyed a lively atmosphere filled with fine dining, music, dancing, networking, laughter, and the shared camaraderie that binds the pharmaceutical community. Beyond the entertainment, the banquet also symbolized unity, reflection, and appreciation of professional excellence within the industry.

“All is well that ends well. A week ago, my heart was filled with tribulation, wondering what would happen in Kano and whether the conference would succeed. Lo and behold, we came to Kano, we saw, and we conquered. This is one of the most wonderful conferences we’ve had. I have not missed a single PSN conference since 1992, and the gala night was amazing. I thank the delegates, the planning committee, NEC members, LOC members, and the national secretariat for making this a success.”

Chairman of the occasion, Brig. General Ahmed Mohammed Tukur, applauded the leadership of PSN while commending Kano’s security architecture.

“When I look around, I see sound leadership. It takes a lot to organize an event of this magnitude, and you have earned this grand style. For every successful organization, leadership is critical. Bringing this conference to Kano was a great choice—Kano is one of the safest states in the North. In security, collaboration with stakeholders like PSN is key to ensuring a safe environment.”

He further praised pharmacists for their contribution to national development: “For your dedication to advancing the profession and improving healthcare in the nation, we do not take it for granted. I encourage all members for their tireless efforts in promoting pharmaceutical excellence.”
