The campaign train of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Oyo State, Sen. Teslim Kolawola Folarin today landed Ijaye in Akinyele Local Government Area amidst pomp and cheers from party faithfuls and teeming supporters from the area. Sen. Teslim on arrival visited the traditional leaders and community heads in the vicinity and assured them of maximum loyalty if voted to power. He also took time to unveil his programmes for the community if given the opportunity to serve. “It is time to move Oyo State to the next level, our youth must take their right positions and our royal fathers must be accorded the respect they deserve.” The PDP gubernatorial flag bearer assured the residents of Akinyele Local Government that, if elected governor come February 28, he will pursue programmes that will uplift the social and economic status of the people. He therefore urged the people to jealously guide their permanent voter’s card, PVC as that is their power. “i urge you to protect your permanent voters card because it is the only vehicle you can use to send Mr. President, me and other People’s Democratic Party candidates to various positions of service come may 29.” Folarin highlighted some of his projects in Ona ora/Egbeda Senatorial where he served the people meritoriously for two terms and promised that if elected as the governor of Oyo State he will do more. The PDP guber candidate formally welcomed defectors from other political parties to the PDP and concluded that soon succour will come their way and the state will be better for it. He lamented the in human polices that has characterised the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC government in the state and described it as anti-people oriented. He however encouraged his teaming supporters that there is ample evidence of hope that this present unfriendly regime will soon be shown the exit door. The Association of Odua and Igbo Motor Spare Parts Dealers at Ojoo market hosted Sen. Teslim Kolawole Folarin. The chairmen of the respective groups thanked God for the likes of Sen. Teslim whom they describe as a blessing to Oyo State. They counted the visit as a special honour to the association stating that they are proud of him In anticipation of Sen. Teslim victory in the coming elections, the traders pleaded with him to relocate them to a befitting permanent site as their present location is a temporal one. The traders pledge their support to the PDP governorship candidate because of his track records of tremendous achievements towards the growth and development of Oyo State as a senator.
