The registration for this pivotal competition will remain open until February 15, 2026. The competition is designed to provide scholarships to over 400 students across the 36 states of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory. The initiative will award prizes worth more than ₦420 million, along with giveaways, including school bags, T-shirts, caps, pens, and other incentives valued at over ₦600 million—bringing total support for students to exceed ₦1 billion.

The GHC encompasses educational programs, health walks, and advocacy efforts, promoting community engagement in malaria prevention and encouraging students to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings, thereby reducing mosquito breeding grounds.

As part of the initiative, there will also be a quiz competition focusing on malaria education, further reinforcing the importance of knowledge in overcoming public health challenges. The competition aims to instill a sense of responsibility among young people, motivating them toward health advocacy and social involvement.

With over 14 educational institutions already expressing interest, the GHC is set to bring together a vibrant community of young advocates dedicated to eradicating malaria.

"We believe that by equipping our youth with the right knowledge and tools, we can create a better future for our communities and ultimately, for our nation," Prince Ilobanafor added.

This initiative not only highlights the importance of addressing malaria but also showcases the potential impact of youth engagement in health advocacy. As the registration period commences, the anticipation for a new generation of health ambassadors rises, presenting hope for a malaria-free Nigeria.
