The Anambra Branch of the Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN) hosted a vibrant Gala Night on Thursday, July 24, 2025, as part of the festivities surrounding the 44th Annual International Scientific Conference. The theme, "Technology Integration and Personalized Care: The Future of Community Pharmacy Practice," was reflected in an evening filled with entertainment, cultural displays, and networking opportunities.

The event took place at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Awka, where attendees enjoyed a night rich in culture and camaraderie. The atmosphere was electric with laughter, music, and the joyous sounds of traditional dances as guests celebrated the contributions of community pharmacists to the healthcare sector.

Pharm. (Sir) Azubuike Okwor, Past President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), alongside Pharm. Ambrose Igwekamma Ezeh, the National Chairman of ACPN, was among the esteemed guests who attended the gala, which brought together pharmaceutical professionals, invited dignitaries, and community members.

In his opening remarks, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) Chairman, Pharm. Patrick Obi, expressed gratitude and pride in hosting such a significant event. "It is with immense gratitude and great honor that I stand before you on this great occasion of the Gala Night,” Obi stated. "I thank the leadership of our state branch for entrusting me with this responsibility; it has been a privilege to serve. I also extend my gratitude to the ACPN National Body and the CPC. I must acknowledge our sponsors, whose support made it possible for us to enjoy an event of this magnitude."

Obi further highlighted the rich cultural heritage of Anambra State, noting, "Anambra is a state of rich history and giant strides—home to friendly and motivating people. I urge everyone to relax, savor your favorite traditional dishes, and have fun tonight."

As the night progressed, attendees danced to live music, celebrated local cuisine, and engaged in lively networking that fostered collaboration among pharmacists and other healthcare stakeholders.

National Chairman Pharm. Ezeh took the stage to address the gathering, emphasizing the importance of unity and teamwork within the profession.
