Pharm. Ambrose Igwekamma Ezeh is set to make a significant impact in his first outing as the National Chairman of the Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN). Since assuming leadership, Ezeh has been focused on enhancing the association’s global presence and advocating for community pharmacists in Nigeria. His dynamic approach is already drawing interest and attention from international healthcare communities.

Under Ezeh's stewardship, the ACPN is taking steps to incorporate global best practices in community pharmacy, promoting collaboration and knowledge-sharing with healthcare professionals from around the world. "Our vision is to align Nigerian pharmacists with international standards and innovations in the pharmaceutical sector," Ezeh stated. One of Ezeh’s notable initiatives is the launch of a new Pharmacare Centre in Umuawulu town, Awka South Local Government Area. This centre, which opens on July 22, 2025, this reflects Ezeh's commitment to improving access to pharmaceutical services, particularly in underserved areas across Nigeria. "This centre is a vital part of our mission to ensure that every Nigerian has access to essential pharmaceutical care," he emphasized.

Ezeh's tenure as National Chairman is marked by a focus on community engagement and advocating for the essential role of pharmacists in the healthcare system. He believes that community pharmacies are pivotal in achieving Universal Health Coverage and addressing health disparities. His vision includes strengthening the capabilities of pharmacists to better serve their communities through continued education and professional development.
