With only 38 days to go until the ACPN National Conference tagged "IFEADIGO 2025," we turn our spotlight on the Odinani Museum, a significant cultural institution located in Nri, the historical ancestral kingdom and cradle of Igbo civilization. The museum serves as a treasured repository of cultural antiquities that vividly depict the origins and history of the Igbo nation.

More than just a collection site, the Odinani Museum functions as an academic center where visitors can explore the rich heritage of the Igbo people through a stunning display of relevant paraphernalia, including artifacts from the ancient kings of the Nri kingdom. With over 5,000 artifacts, the museum encapsulates the essence of Ndigbo’s democratic communal leadership and their war tools from ancient times, offering invaluable insights into their societal structures.

The conception of the Odinani Museum can be traced back over 70 years to anthropologist Prof. Angulu Onwuejiogwu and British anthropologist Thomas Shaw, reflecting a deep commitment to preserving Igbo heritage. Following its renovation in 2018, the then Nigerian Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, remarked on the significance of the displayed artifacts, stating, "Those artifacts displayed in the museum have shown that Ndigbo can produce what they need despite its crude nature."

As we prepare for the "IFEADIGO 2025" conference, set to take place from July 22 to 27, 2025, at the International Conference Center in Awka, we are reminded of the importance of honoring our cultural roots while innovating for the future. This year’s theme, “Technology Integration and Personalized Care: The Future of Community Pharmacists’ Practice in Nigeria,” reflects a commitment to blending tradition with modern advancements in healthcare.

Join us as we celebrate not only the rich history of the Igbo people but also the future of pharmacy in Nigeria at this transformative event. Stay tuned for more updates as we count down to IFEADIGO 2025!
