With 39 days until "IFEADIGO 2025" of the Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN), let’s take a moment to explore one of Anambra State's hidden treasures—the Ikenga Virgin Forest, located in the Orumba North Local Government Area. This unique and untouched rainforest remains one of the last of its kind in Nigeria, offering a glimpse into what nature can be when left undisturbed by human interference.

The Ikenga Virgin Forest is considered "virgin" because it has never been cultivated or subjected to activities such as logging or agriculture, allowing it to flourish as an authentic natural habitat. The forest serves as a sanctuary for a diverse array of animal species, some of which are believed to have gone extinct in other regions of Nigeria. Its ecological importance cannot be overstated, as it represents a vital ecosystem that contributes to the biodiversity of the country.

At the heart of this magnificent forest lies a central shrine overseen by a high priest, who ensures its sanctity and respects the cultural significance of the site. This blend of natural beauty and spiritual reverence highlights the profound connection between the land and the people.

As we count down to "IFEADIGO 2025," scheduled for July 22 to 27, 2025, at the International Conference Center in Awka, we encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity to explore and appreciate the natural wonders of Anambra. The Ikenga Virgin Forest is just one of many attractions that make this region so special, showcasing the beauty of untouched nature and the need to preserve our environment.

Join us as we embark on a transformative journey at IFEADIGO 2025, where we will not only discuss the future of community pharmacy but also celebrate the rich heritage and natural beauty of Anambra State. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach this impactful conference!
