The senator representing Lagos-East senatorial district, Gbenga Ashafa, says even though the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, is from Lagos-East, the All Progressives Congress will win in the division by a landslide.

Ashafa said this during an interview with journalists after a town hall meeting with transport workers in the Ikosi, Ketu area of Lagos.

The lawmaker said the APC had brought development to Ikorodu, adding that the PDP had no achievement to present

He said, “I do not see the presence of the PDP in Ikorodu despite the fact that Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe and others come from there. Go around, you probably will see some of their posters but when you see what the APC has done for the Ikorodu people, you will realise that there will be no contest.

“We will win in Ikorodu by a landslide. Our people are happy with the work that is being done by the present government. When former Governor Bola Tinubu was in power, he brought Independent Power Plants to address the electricity situation even when the Federal Government was against him. He installed one at Egbin which is in Ikorodu.

“The people of Ikorodu will never forget that and look at what Governor Babatunde Fashola is doing in terms of infrastructure.”
