Friday, 14 May 2021: The abductors of Pastor Otamayomi Ogedengbe of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Irese, in the Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State kidnapped on Tuesday have contacted his family and demanded the sum of N30m to secure his release.

CEOAFRICA reported that Ogedengbe was kidnapped inside the church on Tuesday by gunmen, who invaded the compound in a Toyota Corolla car.

It was gathered that the kidnappers contacted the family around midnight on Wednesday and demanded the non-negotiable ransom.

“The abductors have contacted the family and demanded the sum of N30m as ransom and said the amount was non-negotiable,” a source confided in CEOAFRICA.

The cleric’s wife appealed to security agencies and the Ondo State Government to rescue her husband on time because of his health status.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Tee-Leo Ikoro, said the police were already on the trail of the abductors and expressed confidence that the kidnappers would soon be apprehended and the victim rescued unhurt.
