TUC President, Olaleye, charges Muslims to pray for peace, harmony of Nigeria

Monday 10 May 2021: The National President of Trade Union Congress, (TUC), Mr. Quadri Olaleye, has charged Muslims in the country to take advantage of the holy month of Ramadan as well as Eid-fitri to pray for peace, unity and harmony in the country.

Olaleye, who is also the current president of  Food, Beverage and Tobacco Senior Staff Association, (FOBTOB), in an chat with CEOAFRICA explained that prayer is an essential ingredient of human lives.

He urged Muslims in the country to make use of the blessing bestowed upon the holy month of Ramadan as mechanism to pray for unity, peace, harmony and progress of Nigeria.

He also opined that, the issue of insecurity in the country should not be attributed to a particular region or state but rather it should be seen as problem embattling the entire country.

On the same note, Olaleye while celebrating with Muslim faithful in the Nigeria  stressed the need for oneness and brotherhood among the two dominant religions in the country.

According to him, "united we stand but divided we fall, we should join hands together and be like bunch of broom irrespective of the religion and faith, we are practicing so as to make Nigeria prosper, we should see ourselves as one for the betterment of this country".

He also added that, Eid-fitri is a celebration day by Muslims worldwide. It is the day after the last day of the Ramadan when Muslims usually march to eid praying ground to perform two rakats prayers as supplications to God Almighty (Allah), the overseer of the entire universe for his grace and mercy upon them.

 Olaleye felicitated with Muslims and pray for the country at large .
