Many killed as suspected herdsmen attack Ebonyi community

Suspected Fulani herdsmen have killed no less than 15 persons in an attack on four villages in Ebonyi state.

The affected villages are Umuhuali, Nkalaha, Obeagu, Nkalagu, and Amazu in Ishielu Local Government Area of the southeast state.

Eyewitnesses disclosed that the gunmen were shooting sporadically, killing at least 15 people in different areas of the communities. They equally set ablaze motorcycles belonging to residents of the affected communities.

Governor David Umahi who visited the affected communities, condemned the attack and also assured the villagers that government will do all within its powers to bring the perpetrators to justice.
