SECURITY: Chrisland University sets up new committee

Abeokuta- Tuesday 30, March 2021: Chrisland University, one of the leading private institutions of learning in Ogun state has taken proactive measures towards its security as the citadel of learning sets up a new security committee.

CEOAFRICA gathered that the committee was inaugurated during the 2nd Management and Senate meeting held at the Senate Chambers on Friday, 26th of March, 2021.

The security committee is tasked with developing aggressive measures targeted at ensuring maximum security within the university community.

Acting Head of Department, Criminology and Security Studies, Dr. Kunle Olawunmi, was appointed as the chairman of the committee.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Mrs. Chinedum Peace Babalola, FAS, during the inauguration, charged the members of the committee to be “rigorous in their assignment and fulfill their respective roles and responsibilities to a high standard based on best security practices.”

Prof. Babalola further stressed that all hands must be on deck to contribute towards ensuring good security in Chrisland University.

 She also charged the committee to “work towards providing a realistic assessment of security crisis as well as proffering workable solutions.”
