The Vice Chancellor of Chrisland University, Prof. (Mrs.) Chinedum Peace Babalola, has joined leaders, stakeholders and nations of the world to congratulate former President Olusegun Obasanjo on the occasion of his 84th birthday.
The birthday ceremony which took place on Friday at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) was graced by personalities from all walks of life, and had many others participated via Zoom.
Prof. Babalola described the ‘Baba of Africa’ as a great leader, a father, grandfather, guiding light, and great inspiration to Nigeria, Africa, and the entire world.
She said this in her congratulatory message, written on behalf of the Chairman, Board of Trustee, High Chief Dr. (Mrs.) Winifred Awosika, OON, the Management, Staff and Students of Chrisland University, and made available to CEOAFRICA.
Babalola noted that Baba’s life is a book worthy of reading and emulating.
“Your life is indeed a book worthy of reading and worthy of emulation. Your life is filled with memorable and landmark events from birth till date.
“Listening to and reading about you over the years have convinced me that you are highly favoured and blessed by God,” she stated.
The erudite Professor lauded Obasanjo for the mentorship role he played on Chrisland University, stating that Baba Obasanjo “Even at a short notice, you showed up and played vital role during the second convocation of Chrisland University in November, 2020.
“We are grateful for your non-stop dedication and determination, while still having time to give us the guidance we need.”
The AU Laureate prayed that God would continue to bless Baba with strength, good health, and wisdom as he enjoys more glorious years on earth.
