The Deputy Registrar, Legal Affairs, UI, Abayomi Ajayi, on Tuesday has testified that Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki graduated from University of Ibadan in 1979 and his certificate is not forged.

Ajayi made this known to Justice Ahmed Mohammed to clear Obaseki from the allegation brought against him by the All Progressives Congress that Obaseki’s degree certificate is forged.

It is said that “from the records of the university, Obaseki was admitted as student in 1976 through direct entry and graduated in 1979.”

Evidences such as UI 1976 calendar, admission brochure for degrees, award of diplomas, certificates, Oobaseki’s application for admission and another one for collection of his certificate from the university were shown and received as exhibits by the Federal High Court in Abuja.  

However,the hearingof the matter continues today, Wednesday, at a Federal High Court in Abuja.
