Former president Obasanjo to chair Chrisland University's 2nd Convocation Ceremony

Former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Chief Olusegun Obasanjo is to chair the 2nd Convocation Ceremony of Chrisland University, Abeokuta, Ogun State on Thursday, 26th November, 2020.

The University’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mrs Chinedum Peace Babalola made this disclosure in statement which was made available to CEOAFRICA.

Prof. Babalola said that arrangements for the 2020 Convocation Ceremony were in top gear, as the institution sets to award first degrees and presentation of prizes at the occasion.

“Chrisland University’s vision as an Institution is to become a world class university, known for its intellectual freedom, ethical standards, Research, Community Services & Outstanding Training of a new generation of leaders,” the VC stated.

She added that Former President Obasanjo would be the chairman of the occasion with the Convocation lecture to be delivered by Her Excellency, Prof. (Mrs.) Sarah Anyang Agbor, the Honorable Commissioner for Human Resources, Science & Technology, Africa Union.

According to her, the Convocation Lecture is titled: “Leadership, Sustainable Growth and Nation Building in Africa: A Reflective Perspective.”

Other prominent personalities expected to attend this year’s convocation ceremony include; the executive governor of Ogun state,his Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Olakunle Oluomo Taiwo; President of Trade Union Congress (TUC), who also doubles as the National President, Food, Beverage and Tobacco Senior Staff of Nigeria (FOBTOB), Comr. Qaudri  Olaleye; Founder, Living by Design Nation(LBD), Mr. Chiefo Ejiofobiri, and a host of others.
