Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has described the death of a former state lawmaker and representative of Irepodun/Ifelodun constituency I in the Second Assembly meritoriously, Mr. Kola Fakiyesi, as a sad and unexpected occurrence.

 The governor, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Yinka Oyebode, and made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti on yesterday, said that Fakiyesi passed on at his prime and will be missed greatly because he spent his life in service to humanity with dynamism and diligence which endeared him to the people of his constituency.

Fayemi described his death as a great loss to the state and the APC family which the deceased belonged before his demise. He maintained that Fakiyesi was a very loyal party man, as he never fluttered in his membership to the party of Alliance for Democracy since his election into the Assembly in 2003.
