Several protesters who belong to the women’s wing of the Peoples Democratic have walked in protest from the Government House along Osadebey Avenue to the Anthony Enahoro Complex, along Ring Road to the Edo State House of Assembly in Benin City.

The protest which held today by the women is a solidarity march in support of the embattled Speaker of the House, Mr Frank Okiye.

Recall that Okiye was reportedly impeached on Thursday by 17 out of the 24 lawmakers at a private residence in Benin, where a new Speaker, Mr Victor Edoror, was elected in his stead..
