News reaching the desk of CEOAFRICA.com indicated that violence resumed in Cairo and not less than 12 people have died, as supporters of ousted Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi clash again with security forces.

Also, sources disclosed that outside Cairo, eight people were reportedly killed in Damietta and four in Ismailia, as police were authorized to be using live ammunition in self-defence following Wednesday’s clash where 638 people were reported to have died.

It was gathered that protest began immediately after the Friday prayer following Muslim Brotherhood’s appeal to its supporters to embark on what they refer to as “march of anger.”

However, the protest turned violent when a Police station came under fire, as tear gas and live ammunition started roaring continuously.

Our source explained that the country is in a deepening, really serious crisis as members of the National Salvation Front and Tamarod, the groups opposed to Mr. Morsi, called for counter- demonstrations in response to the Muslim Brotherhood protests.

People have also been urged to protect their neighbourhoods and churches throughout the country. This was because some Islamists accused the Egypt’s Coptic Christian community for backing the army’s overthrow of Mr. Morsi last month.

The Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights, an NGO, says 25 churches, along with private homes and businesses belonging to Copts and other Christian denominations, were attacked on Wednesday and Thursday.
