CP Olukolu loses personal assistant

The Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Police Command, CP. Shina Olukolu  has commiserated with the family of ASP Olusegun Popoola, his personal Assistant, who died after a brief illness on Wednesday 25th  March, at the University College Hospital UCH , Ibadan.

Olukolu described the late Popoola as a dedicated, loyal, hardworking, respectful and jovial officer who approaches all his assignments with all seriousness it deserves.

The commissioner of Police in his condolence message signed by Oyo State Police Command Police Public Relations Officer, SP.  Fadeyi Olugbenga  and was  made available to CEOAFRICA described the death of ASP Olusegun Popoola as “untimely and unfortunate”.  

The condolence message reads “the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Police Command, CP. Shina T. Olukolu psc(+) on behalf of himself, family and the family of the deceased wishes to express his profound gratitude and immense appreciation to the entire government and the good people of Oyo State, Officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force at the Force Headquarters and Oyo State Command, the Police Community Relations Committee, (PCRC) Oyo State, PCRC South-West, friends, colleagues and associates from all walks of life who have commiserated/ identified with us at this  period of grief.

The deceased have been closely associated with the Commissioner of Police for close to 30 years. He was a dedicated, loyal, hardworking, respectful and jovial officer who approaches all his assignments with all seriousness it deserves.

But unfortunately, he passed away at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan on Wednesday 25th March, 2020 after a brief illness. The deceased who later obtained a BSc. degree having enlisted in the Nigeria Police Force as a recruit constable in December 1988 have traveled far and wide in the force in his quest for professionalism and search for knowledge.

Lastly, I wish to thank the Almighty God for a life well spent and pray for the repose of his gentle soul while we pray for God’s guidance and protection for those of us still alive. Amen.
