The Nigeria Police Force Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) Oyo State Command in collaboration with Crime Alert/DHIL Security Network on Wednesday honoured some individuals for their selfless service to humanity in the state and Nigeria at large most especially on their contributions towards combating crimes and Nigeria’s education system.
The 2020 investiture/awards & decoration of patrons by PCRC Oyo State Police was held on the 19th February at the Owu Crown Hotels, Iwo Road, Ibadan.
The awardees include CP Shina T. Olukolu- Oyo Commissioner of Police, Ambassador Gbenga Olaniyan- C.E.O Crime Alert/Dhil Security Network, HRM Oba Saliu Oyemonla Azeez- Agunloye IV, Ayefemiloye 1, Sabiganna of Iganna Kingdom, Prof Kazeem Adekunle Adebiyi- Rector of the Polytechnic Ibadan, Pastor (Dr) Oladokun Olatunde- C.E.O. SEAP Micro Finance Bank, Barrister Akintoye Felix Adeoye -C.E.O. New Creation and Properties Ltd.
Speaking on the award, CP Olukolu described the move as a call to duty, a call to higher responsibilities, nothing that when people recognize you, it means they are expecting more from you.
Olukolu said that the public should always expect an improved security services, higher efforts and improvement in response time to distress calls.
He said “we want to assure the public that irrespective of situation, we are always willing and we are always striving to work harder”.
“We expect the public to collaborate and partner with us, we expect them to give us the synergy to serve them better” he added
