It was a moment of history for the newly admitted students as Dominican University, Samoda Ibadan, Oyo State held her 3rd matriculation ceremony amidst educationist, researchers, families, parents, friends and well-wishers.

The vice chancellor of the institution, Prof. (Rev. Fr.) Anthony Akinwale, in his welcome address charged the students to know that matriculation is the beginning of another journey in life. 

He reminded the students of their roles which is to be ‘distinguished’, noting that the acronym for Dominican University is D.U meaning ‘Distinguished University’.

“A distinguished personality stand out from the crowd”, dear students, do not join the bad gang of corruption”, Prof Akinwale added.

The erudite professor said the University is leaving no stone unturned towards making sure that  education at Dominican University will enable the student  acquire multiple competent required for building a new Nigeria.
