Oyo CP, Olukolu reveals 2020 plan, parades 33 armed robbers, kidnappers, recovers arms

The Crime fighting commissioner of Police in Oyo state CP Shina T. Olukolu has revealed his 2020 plan of total war against crime and criminality in the state.

Olukolu revealed the plan while parading  thirty three (33) suspected kidnappers and armed robbers with recovered arms and trucks loaded with goods  at the  Eleyele command headquarters in  Ibadan on Tuesday,

The Police  commissioner  said the suspects were arrested at different locations and times, were found in possession of items such as AK-49 Rifle, knives, iron rods, live cartridges, cutlasses, locally-made guns, phones, cars, Bajaj Motorcycle, etc.

According to CP olukolu, “the suspects had confessed to the roles they played in the commission of the various crimes they were being accused of, and would soon be arraigned in court on completion of investigations.”

The suspected armed robbers cum kidnapers arrested were Abubakar Mohammed ‘m’ Age 27 years, Babuga Usman ‘m’ age 42 years, Rasheed Ganiyu ‘m’ age 48 years(criminal receiver), Taofeek Salawu ‘m’ age 37 years(criminal receiver), Abiodun Kehinde ‘m’ (criminal receiver), Akin Adedeji ‘m’ age 31 years, Hammed Mutaili ‘m’ age 30years, Saheed Yusuf ‘m’ age 27 years, Wasiu Sodiq ‘m’ age 52 years, Adebayo Dotun ‘m’ age 30 years(Ex-convict), Suleiman Azeez ‘m’ age 30 years(Indian hemp dealer), Babatunde Afeez ‘m’ age 28 years, Tejumola Oladele ‘m’ age 38 years, Ojemakinde Tosin ‘f’ age 20 years, Pamole Olaoluwa ‘m’ age years a.k.a Pablo and an Ex-convict), Adeyemi Abiodun ‘m’ age years a.k.a Adesh and an Ex-convict), Adewuyi Abdulahi ‘m’ age years (a.k.a Shyna), Aliyu Olamilekan ‘m’ age 27 years (a.k.a Wet), Abdulrasheed Salami ‘m’ age 32 years (Criminal receiver), Ibrahim Usman age 33 years (Criminal receiver), Nasiru Danbaba ‘m’ age 67 years (Bureau de change), Popoola Rafiu ‘m’ age 44 years(criminal receiver), Caleb Adewumi ‘m’ age 46 years(Criminal receiver), Taiwo Seyi ‘m’ age 33 years(Driver of the truck), Ajidara Okikiola ‘m’ age 45 years(Criminal receiver), Ayorinde Shola ‘m’ age 40 years(Criminal receiver), Olayinka Olanrewaju ‘m’ age 21 years(Criminal receiver), Issa Salaudeen ‘m’ age 43 years(criminal receiver), Bello Olawale ‘m’ age 32 years(Company’s project manager), Afolayan Lukman ‘m’ age 38 years(Criminal receiver), kehedy Name ‘m’ age 45 years, Sambason Elijah ‘m’ age 48 years, Emmanuel Nhgih ‘m’ age 21 years.

Other arrested suspected car snatchers and hijackers were Yusuf Adedigba ‘m’ and others still at large.

The exhibits recovered includes; AK-49 Rifle, seven ‘7’ live AK-47 ammunition, 1 revolver pistol, 1 locally made gun, 1 double barrel cut to size gun, 1 single barrel locally made gun, fifteen ‘15’ live cartridges, expended cartridge, pathfinder jeep with Reg.  No BC 618 BDJ, 1 English double pistol (Breach No 2698981270), 1 Infinix cell phone, 1 Xperia Cell Phone, 1 Sony Portable DVD Player, 1 Techno Cell Phone, 1 Volvo truck with Reg. No LSD 813 XV, one hundred & twenty three (123) Pieces of 16mm iron rods, 1 Axe, 1 cutlass, 1 unregistered Bajaj Motorcycle, 1 Toyota Camry with registration number BDJ 765 GN, recovery of hijacked and diverted trailer, recovery of a wine 2005 model unregistered Toyota Sienna bus, recovery of a white unregistered Toyota Sienna bus.

Olukolu appealed for continued support and cooperation from members of the public by giving useful information to the police to combat crime.

He also warned others who are planning to unleash terror on the law abiding citizens of the State to have a rethink or relocate from Oyo State because the command under his watch is leaving no stone unturned in the war against crime and criminality in the state.
