Photo News: Oyo holds 2020 Nigeria Armed Forces thanksgiving Service in Ibadan

The Nigeria Armed Forces, Oyo State, on Sunday held a special Church thanksgiving Service to mark the 2020 “Armed Forces Remembrance Day” which is being celebrated every January 15th nationwide

The service which held at the Cathedral of St Peter, Aremo, Ibadan was specially organized to honour members of the Nigeria Armed Forces for the sacrifices they make and their commitment in defending our nation.

Speaking during the service, the governor, Engr Seyi Makinde described the fallen heroes as people who have made supreme sacrifice for the unity of this country and contributed to the peace of the world.

January 15 of every year is commemorated as the Armed Forces Remembrance Day in Nigeria. It is a day dedicated to acknowledge and appreciate the supreme sacrifice paid by members of the Nigerian Armed Forces in their quest and resolve to protect and preserve the territorial integrity of Africa’s most populous nation and the global capital of the black race.
