Oyo CP decorates 11 promoted officers, 5 to DCP, 6 to ACP

The Nigeria Police Force, Oyo state Police Command today 6th January 6, 2020, decorated eleven (11) police officers promoted to the next rank.

A break-drown of the eleven decorated officers showed the promotion of six (6) officers from the rank of the Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) to the rank of the Assistant Commissioner of Police and  five (5) officers also promoted from the post of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) to the rank of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP).

The newly promoted officers include; for the Chief Superintendent:  ACP. Alex Asade, ACP. Edun Azeez, ACP. Abdul Adejo, ACP. Agboola Olajide, ACP. Bawa Elisa while the promoted Assistant Commissioner are DCP. Akoh Gabriel, DCP. Reiz Obafunke, DCP. Abaniwonda Olaolu, DCP. Aboki Danjuma, DCP. Eribo Joseph.

In his word, the state Commissioner of Police, CP. Shina Olukolu, while decorating the officers described promotion as a thing of joy that makes a man to move up in the effort of carrying out his assigned work.

CP Olukolu further charged the newly promoted officers to be dedicated, committed and act professionally in carrying out their constitutional roles in their new offices.

The CP appreciated the Inspector General of Police, IGP Abubakar Adamu for his magnanimity in extending the promotion of newly officers to the Oyo state command assuring him that the command will never let him down.  

DCP Akoh Gabriel, who spoke on behalf of other newly promoted officers, appreciated the Inspector General of Police, IGP Abubakar Adamu for the new development.

DCP Akoh equally commended the Commissioner of Police, CP. Shina Olukolu for bearing their shortcoming and mistakes during their waiting time.

"Promotion comes with additional responsibilities and this is a call for movement" he said.

“We are highly motivated and we will remain more dedicated and committed to achieve the objectives of the force.

We promise not to let him, the command down, and we will continue to perform our obligations professionally" he added.

With a hand shake of appreciation, they commended their colleagues that have work with them in the past for their corroborative support.
