AU Commissioner, Professor Sarah wishes Africans Marry Christmas, Happy New Year

The African Union Commission (AUC) Commissioner for Human Resources, Science and Technology, Professor Sarah Anyang Agbor wishes all Africans Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2020 in advance.

She extended the fraternal greetings during her visit to Nigeria for the Pan African University Institute for Life and Earth Sciencesconvocation hosted by the University of Ibadan recently.

The AUC Commissioner wished the African Union, Member States, partners and youths who are the demographic asset of her department a prosperous Merry Christmas and New Year in advance.

While speaking, “From the office of the Commissioner for Human Resources, Science and Technology, we bring you fraternal greetings. We are saying to all our partners and stakeholders in the areas of education, youths and human resources, science and technology innovation, all our institutions and organizations that had been working with my department, and to the youth of Africa who are our demographic assets, am wishing each and every one of you all Merry Christmas and Happy new year” she said.

She expressed her gratitude to all stakeholders and the team in her department for helping her towards achieving the African Union Chairperson’s, His Excellency, Dr. Moussa Faki 1million by 2020 initiative mandate to have been delivered.

 She stated that, leadership is a responsibility, and the responsibility of the African Union Commission is to make sure that Member States achieve all the strategies and policies that are decided together as African Union.        

“The vision of agenda 2063, that vision of integrated, prosperous and peaceful Africa driven by its own competent and skill citizens able to play at the global arena can only be achieved if we harness our demographic dividends, work together in unity and love irrespective of our diversities making sure that, that transformation of the Africa we want we will get to that goal by 2063” she said.

She thanked African Union, Member States for sponsoring Pan Universities that we have all over, and the E-university that would be launch before the end of this year.

“You are the wings that we fly on and without we are nothing. We have been to achieve this more either morally, spiritually and financially. Together we are stronger, irrespective of our diversities;

“We see you in the spirit of Ombutu as our partners, collaborators, helpers working together, completing one another for the transformation”. 

While praying for the African continent, she said “As we are approach the end of the year, it is our special prayer from the AUC, the department of Human Resources, Science and Technology that God would walk us all trough 2019 to 2020 and we will continue the work that we need to do for the Africa that we want. Together we are stronger, irrespective of our diversities”.

“We are expecting more from you. Merry Christmas 2019 and Happy New Year 2020 in advance” she said.
