-Touching tributes to Mama Ajain by her husband and children-
I could not believe it when I saw you taking your last breath on October 2, 2019. I pressed both my ears to your chest and I could not hear your breathing anymore. Is this the end? You were a wonderful mother in many ways to your children and an excellent wife to me. I cherished the time we had together, true love you demonstrated to me. I will miss you as you as very understanding, compassionate and prayer partner.. As long as I am on earth, I will always remember you. The Bible says we will meet again and there we will depart no more. Rest Peacefully. Adieu.
The Husband (Pa Joseph O. Ajani)
I am yet to come to terms with your departure. You never prepared me for this but who am I to question God? I give all glory to God for the exemplary and godly life you lived. I am highly honoured that you are my mother. I thank you for your care and love shown not only to me but to everyone around you. You are a testimony of care, love and a pillar of support to all around you were my confidant, friend and wonderful mother. You always stood in the gap in prayer for us. I grew up to believe and know that any problem or despair of my life shared with you was problem solved. Mummy, I can still remember those virtues you labored to instill in me. Thank you mummy for teaching me humility, patient, imparting the spirit of sharing to me and above all showing me the need to stand firm in the way of God. You were always there for me when I was making all the important decisions in my life. I thank God for your mentorship. You were an uncommon mother hen, someone who always allowed us to explore and make our mistakes but always there to guide, support and provide succor to us. Mami, your life was a life well spent. Sleep well in the bosom of our Lord.
Professor Emmanuel Kolawole Ajani (Son)
Mama, your demise is still like a dream. When grandpa placed a call to my husband, I thought he would come back laughing and say he met eating a bowl of amala. We didn’t know that you would be departing this sinful world for a better place in heaven that night. You took me as your own daughter and your love and care was very great towards us. We will miss you dearly, mama. Continue to rest in the bosom of your Lord whom you loved dearly. Adieu mummy.
