Nigeria first female pharmacist VC commends AU Commissioner, Professor Sarah Anyang for providing education and training to African youths

The first female pharmacist Vice Chancellor in Nigeria and the Vice Chancellor Chrisland University, Abeokuta, Professor Chinedum Peace Babalola has commended the African Union  Commissioner of Human Resources, Science and Technology, Professor Sarah Anyang Agbor for providing education and training to African youth.

Professor Babalola who disclosed this in an interview with CEOAFRICA stated that the AUC Commissioner through her department will surely make the African we want.

In her statements, "Education is the greatest weapon that can transform the world of which I strongly believed that Professor Anyang through the African Union has tremendously supported the education and training of the African youth towards achieving the Agenda 2063 quest for education and skills revolution for achieving an integrated, peaceful and prosperous Africa.

"With all her achievements and her strategic plans, it shows that there is still hope for African continent. She will surely make the African dream come alive" she said.

Speaking further "I really commended the African Union, Member States and the Commissioner, Professor Anyang for organizing the first ever AU Continental Teachers Award for recognizing and encouraging the African teachers who has in one way or the other contributed immensely to the development of Africa" she said.

"This is a sign that teachers reward is not only in heaven. Teachers deserves to be rewarded while alive for their selfless services to humanity" The VC said.

Prof Chinedum noted that the award should not stop there and as well be extended to the national and regional levels too.

Also, the VC lauded the Commissioners’ efforts on the year 2019 Nwalimu Nyerere Scholarship which was dedicated to the refugees and the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) so as to get them into schools.

Professor Babalola however urged the African Union Commission and Professor Anyang department to continue in their good works to make African continent a better place for all.
