Chrisland University, Abeokuta, on Friday, 1st November 2019, held her  maiden Convocation Ceremony.

The Convocation ceremony which began with a lecture delivered by the former governor of Anambra state and the PDP vice presidential candidate in 2019 election, Mr Peter Obi on the theme ‘Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship: A critical intersection for economic development in Africa’, was celebrated by friends, family and well-wishers of the citadel of learning.  

Speaking at the ceremony, the former Governor pointed out that the past leaders depended on oil economy, which he said has led to the poor economic status of the country.

He therefore enjoined the students and the youths not to “toe the lines of the previous leaders in the country”.

In her statements,  Professor Chinedum Babalola, Vice-Chancellor of Chrisland University, said that the institution churned out seven graduates whom they referred to as the “Seven Stars” and encouraged the graduating students to continue to be the best they were during their stay in the school.

The graduating students who proudly walked across the stage in front of family, friends and other dignitaries with smiles on their faces return all glory o God, who made everything possible for them.
