Binam Bikoi bags Doctorate of Humanities by Commonwealth University

The Executive Secretary, International Centre for Research and Documentation on African Traditions and Languages (CERDOTOLA), Professor Charles Binam Bikoi has been awarded ‘Doctorate of Humanities (Honoris Causa) of the Commonwealth University.

He also received the Master of Business Management and Leadership degree from the London Graduate School.

The honorary award event took place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on 31st October, 2019.

The Honoris Causa was in recognition of his contributions to the knowledge of African culture, and for the influence of CERDOTOLA, a preeminent institution in the African Renaissance.

Professor Bikoi, a Senior Research Officer, Professor in many Universities specialized in Ancient civilizations and oral traditions is a pioneer in the areas of teaching and research in Africa.

Recall that the erudite Professor was a Keynote speaker at the International Pan-African conference with the theme “Challenges of Growth and Sustainable Development in Africa” which was organized by CEOAFRICA in collaboration with Chrisland University, held in Abeokuta, Ogun State Nigeria where he speaks on “Afrocentric Communication and the Economy of Affection: Projects and Prospects of Traditions in Africa’s Optimum Development.”

Having being established in 1977 by ten Central African countries, CERDOTOLA is an intergovernmental institution that works for sub-regional cooperation in the field of culture and in human and social sciences applied to the knowledge, protection, safeguarding and enhancement of the traditional world, history, languages and cultural heritage of Africa. 

However, CERDOTOLA under Professor Bikoi has been championing the promotion and preservation of African culture and traditions.
