Ibadan Women Anglican Diocese reaches out to the community through awareness programme

The Ibadan Anglican Diocese on Saturday 5th October, 2019 during her ‘Women Awareness Programme’ by Women of Inalende Archdeaconry and St Stephen’s Anglican Church Inalende at Mokola in Ibadan, Oyo State preached the gospel, shared tracts, counselled and prayed for the people.

The Liliefield Pharmacy, Mokola and staff also partnered towards ensuring a great success of the programme.

Meanwhile, 6 Pharmacy students from the University of Ibadan and a nurse were co-opted to join the women to attend to medical issues.

Also, during the awareness programme which was attended by over One hundred (100) people, vital medical signs (BP, Random blood sugar, temperature, BMI etc) were taken while drugs were given where necessary.

The women talked on safe use of medication, patronizing pharmacists and pharmacies, dangers of bleaching products while over 85 cases were documented during the awareness.

In her statement, the Vice Chancellor of Chrisland University, Professor Chinedum Peace Babalola described the awareness as a combination of Christian, community and professional service by the women to the society.

Professor Babalola appreciate the CEO of Liliefield Pharmacy, Mokola, Hon. Pharm. Adegoke and his staff for the great support and opportunity granted to them”.

“We thank the Pharmacy students who though are in the middle of their exams sacrificed time to render their services, the co-opted nurse and wonderful women from Inalende Archdeaconry and St. Stephens Anglican Church who participated in the exercise” she said.

The VC also deeply appreciate the Vicar and Archdeacon Ven C. O. Babalola for his supports throughout.

However, on Sunday 6th October, the programme ended with a joint Thanksgiving service of Women awareness and Women’s Guild anniversary in St. Stephen’s Anglican Church Inalende.
