PHOTOS: Chrisland University signs MoU with Neuropsychiatric Hospital and HTH

AS part of meeting relevant requirements to run Medical and Health Science programmes including provision of clinical opportunities for her students, Chrisland University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Neuropsychiatric Hospital Aro, Abeokuta today Thursday, 12th day of September, 2019.

This was made known in a release signed and made available to CEOAFRICA by the the university Vice Chancellor, Prof. Chinedum Peace Babalola.

Under the agreement, the Hospital shall among other things, provide clinical training and practical experience to Chrisland University students in the area of Basic Medical Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Physiology, Anatomy, Medical Laboratory Science, Public Health, Sociology among others.

The Vice Chancellor of Chrisland University Professor (Mrs.) Chinedum Peace Babalola and the Provost & Medical Director of Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Dr Timothy Olaolu Adebowale signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions.  

Present at the signing were Professor O. O. Omotade, Consultant and Dean, College of Basic Medical Sciences, Barrister (Mrs) F.  Adetoye, Principal Assistant Registrar and Miss Gloria Izuakor from Chrisland University and the principal officers of Neuropsychiatric Hospital.

Chrisland University is currently preparing for NUC and Council verification for Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medical Laboratory Science, Public Health, Anatomy, Physiology programmes under College of Basic Medical Sciences.

Furthermore, a Memorandum of Understanding was earlier signed with Holy Trinity Hospital, Lagos on 24th July, 2019 with respect to the upcoming programmes in the College of Basic Medical Science. In Attendance were;

1. The Vice Chancellor Professor (Mrs) Chinedum Peace Babalola

2. Professor Olayemi O. Omotade

3. Barrister Funmilayo Adetoye

4. Engr. Yomi Akinsola from BAATS Clinical Engineering Ltd.

5. Dr. (Mrs) Busola Fasheun, The Chief Medical Director of Holy Trinity Hospital (HTH) and Principal officers of HTH.
