Oyo PCRC Awards Engr. Sanusi 'Impeccable Patron', says he is an impeccable philanthropist

The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Oyo State Chapter led by its Chairman, Reverend Peter Omofoye has awarded the Chief Executive Officer, Ilaji Farm and Resorts Centre Engineer Jubril Dotun Sanusi as 'Impeccable Patron' described him as an impeccable philanthropist who has contributed immensely to the growth and development of Oyo State.

The PCRC Chairman disclosed this on Monday at the ceremony of the honorary award where Sanusi's beautiful wife, Mrs. Joyce Sanusi was also honored the award of 'Patroness' by the PCRC Oyo State Command amidst stakeholders, officers in the army, police, friends and well-wishers who enlivened the event which took place in Ilaji Farm and Resorts Centre, Ilaji Village, Ibadan, Oyo state.

The Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Police Command CP. Shina T. Olukolu who was ably represented by SP Amos Olaoye said "The award is first of its kind in the state and has to be given to a man who really deserved it, which is why the whole state is very proud of him".

Omofoye described Engr. Dotun Sanusi popularly known as 'Ilaji' as an impeccable philanthropist and a rare gem who has contributed immensely to the growth and development of the people of Oyo state and its environs.

"Jubril has single handedly built a Police Station, bought a Police patrol vehicle, provides numbers of 550KVA transformers and electrifications to communities among other selfless assistance." he said.

Meanwhile, Engr. Sanusi in his statement said "My effort towards contributing to humanity was a directive from God. Humanity service is a belief and legacy that someone would be remembered for after one might have departed the earth. That is why I have been contributing my own quota".

He also noted that he has served humanity in his entire life, never tired and is willing to work with anybody who is interested in promoting humanity in Oyo state and Nigeria at large.

However, in her own remarks, the Patroness, Joyce Sanusi while given her vote of thanks at the event urged everyone to embrace service to humanity in their own little ways so that the world would be a better place for us all.

Since the PCRC Oyo State Chapter Rev. Omofoye assumed office as the Chairman on September 13th, 2017 he has been making all efforts to ensure that the PCRC Oyo State Command achieve more success with laudable landmark in the state.

Rev Omofoye represented Oyo State at the Senate Committee and House Committee on Police Affairs in 2017.

Peter received award from the 'Security Watch' in Kigali, the Republic of Rwanda in 2017 which was signed by the former Inspector General of Police, Ibahim Idris.

Omofoye to his unrelentless efforts has also recently honored the Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin   the ';most Notable Patron'; award and as well visited media houses in ensuring a partnership that would enhance and complement the efforts of the police in the task of securing the lives and property of the citizens through adequate information dissemination.

It could be recalled that the Police Community Relations Committee PCRC was inaugurated on the 8th May of 1984 by the late IGP Etim Iyang to partner with community members in setting the security priorities in the society and fashioning ways of resolving identified problems in the community; to bring the police and the community together;  to solicit for public information through the communities in order to control crime and to serve as a forum for the police to educate the public on new trends of crime and prevention technique among other objectives for its creation.
