IKEJA, Lagos -                                     Athletes who usually train in the main bowl of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, have been forced to do their physical exercise outside as security agents mount guard around the public structure on Monday.

CEOAfrica has earlier reported that the security agents have the OP MESA vans parked around the stadium.

The Operation MESA or OP MESA, as it is commonly referred to, is a joint Internal Security Operational platform made up of the Army, the Navy and the Air Force.

They had mounted guard at the national stadium to prevent activists from holding a scheduled #RevolutionNow protest spearheaded by Sahara Reporters publisher and presidential candidate of the African Action Congress in the 2019 General Election, Mr. Omoyele Sowore.

Sowore is currently being held by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).
